In the early 1970’s, Michael E. Henderson, a local of Junction, Texas, travelled to Florida as a young man to pursue an opportunity build and operate his own country western nightclub. In an effort to pay the bills until the club was finished, Mike took a job at Walt Disney World. However, unbeknownst to Mike, God had a very different plan for his life. While working for Disney, he befriended a strangely different coworker named Harold Rounds. Harold held a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ. Mike was intrigued by his new friend’s faith, and quickly accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. On fire for the Lord, Mike soon returned back to Junction and began sharing his faith in Jesus with all who would listen. Mike ran a BBQ pit and would pray for people that would stop in for a bite to eat.
Later, having purchased a small church in town known as the Fanny Dupey Memorial Building, Mike began to preach and baptize members of the local community of Junction. Mike’s ministry was known as Junction Truth Tabernacle. Mike pastored this ministry for nearly a decade before meeting and marrying his lifelong bride, Jane Henderson. Mike and Jane quickly set out together to expand their ministry by establishing the Jesus Hall of Fame Inc., a sizable Camp Meeting Worship Center on the outskirts of Junction. Concurrently, they also established a separate endeavor known as Jesus Revivals; a mission based outreach ministry which served communities on the New Mexico Navajo Reservation, as well as birthed new churches from Texas to as far north as Watertown New York. During the course of their ministry, Junction Truth Tabernacle was consolidated under the umbrella of the Jesus Hall of Fame Inc. Prior to his passing in 2012, Mike remained as the Overseer of the Jesus Hall of Fame Inc. and Junction Truth Tabernacle. Some years prior Mike, stepped down as the local pulpit pastor and appointed Rena Sue as an under Shephard of Junction Truth Tabernacle. This was decided by consideration of congregational vote. Mike Henderson served God fervently and faithfully for over four decades before being called to be with the Lord.
Following Mikes passing, his son Daniel tended to the operations of the annual Jesus Hall of Fame Camp Meeting to help his mother Jane Henderson. It was during this camp meeting on June 10th, 2013 that Daniel became ordained and commissioned into ministry by Brother Luis P. Gloria and founding member of the Jesus Hall Of Fame, Harold Rounds. Pastors Harold Rounds and Velma Trujillo, Evangelist Dwayne Williams, Pastor Justin Hall, Pastor David Garcia, and Pastor Chance Endsley were part of the Laying Of Hands Ordination Service as well.
Daniel, was compelled by the Holy Spirit to accept the call to be a Pastor and to lead as the Overseer of the Jesus Hall of Fame Ministries as his Father before him. Daniel, his wife Summer Henderson, Daryl Geller, and his wife Sue Beth Geller started a Bible study in the Fanny Dupey Memorial Building. Their ministry would quickly grow into 1 Faith Community Church. Due to growth and the need for remediation services at the Fanny Dupey Memorial Building, 1 Faith Community Church moved to and now operates out of the JHF Camp Meeting Building that Daniel’s parents first built in 1984.
